Cyclist Killed In Road Accident | Nashik News


Nashik: A 38-year-old man riding a cycle was killed after he was knocked down by an unidentified autorickshaw driver in the Mumbai Naka area at 11 am on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Abhay Surendra Sharma, a resident of the Bhujbal Farm area and a native of Turk Telpa in Bihar. The Adgaon police said Sharma was cycling from his residence in the Bhujbal Farm area toward the Mumbai Naka side, when the incident took place.
Around 11 am, when he was crossing the area near a water tank, an unidentified autorickshaw driver knocked him down and fled the spot.
Sharma was immediately rushed to a private hospital. The Mumbai Naka police said Sharma had suffered injuries on his head and his right hand. He died while undergoing treatment around 8 am on Thursday.
The police have registered an FIR against the unknown autorickshaw driver. Sharma worked as a security guard in a restaurant in the Bhujbal Farm area.
