People of three villages in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra are struggling with the acute water problem. They are extracting water by digging a pit in a dry drain outside the village. The women of the villages are collecting water every day from morning to evening. A few years ago, a water tank was made in the village and taps were also installed under the tap scheme. Water was supplied to a total of seven villages for some time but these three villages are devoid of water. Many houses in the village have taps but water is not available as they are forced to drink water by digging a hole in the drain.
