Ulrika Jonsson slams Kourtney Kardashian's 'vulgar' proposal photos 'Looks staged' – Express

Ulrika Jonsson, 54, took aim at Kourtney Kardashian, 42, who recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Travis Barker, 45. The columnist claimed the photos released of the eldest Kardashian’s marriage proposal was “nothing short of phoney”.

The former Gladiators presenter, who has been married three times, took issue with the extravagance of the occasion.

Writing in her latest column for The Sun, Ulrika admitted she has had a “number of proposals” but clarified it was of the “marrying kind”.

The former Big Brother star claimed that Travis’ proposal looked “staged”.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and Blink-182 drummer recently made a big commitment to each other after he popped the question in a romantic beach setting.

“Heartfelt and sincere proposals have now been replaced with prancing, showboating, strutting and playing to the crowd,” Ulrika penned.

“In the words of Jessie J, it’s all about the money, money, money. And to me, it’s nothing short of vulgar.”

She explained that the average person going down on one knee appeared to be an “outdated sign of disparity”.

Ulrika also questioned where the privacy and intimacy of marriage proposals had gone.

Kourtney has never been married and despite her nine-year relationship with her former partner Scott Disick, the pair never walked down the aisle.

Ulrika has previously shared that she would consider getting married for a fourth time.

Express.co.uk has contacted Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker representatives for comment.

The mother-of-four shared that while it would feel “strange” tying the knot again, she couldn’t rule it out.

Ulrika, who is currently single, was first married to cameraman John Turnbull in 1990 with a divorce granted in 1995.

Her second husband was Lance Gerrard-Wright to whom she married for three years between 2003 and 2006.

Ulrika’s most recent husband was Brian Monet, with their marriage lasting from 2008 until 2019.
