Who Was Naziha Salim?
Google is admiring the painter for her profound contribution to the world of art. Well, Salim mostly depicts rural women performing their daily activities throughout the day with her colourful paintings. Along with being a wonderful painter she was also a beloved painter and recognized as one of the most influential artists in her native. Apart from that, the prominent reason behind her acknowledgement is she had been featured by the Barjeel Art Foundation during their collection of female artists. Some of her wonderful arts are still showcased at the Sharjah Art Museum and the Modern Art Iraqi Archive.
Naziha Salim was born in the year 1927 on 15th February 2008. She was a popularized Iraqi artist, educator, and author, described by the country’s president, Jalal Talabani and appreciated with the title as “the first Iraqi woman who anchored the pillars of Iraqi contemporary art.” Naziha Salim was born to Iraqi parents who belonged to Mosul. Her father was an army official deployed in Turkey.
She is also respected as the first woman who attained a scholarship to pursue her study in foreign. She achieved immense success throughout her life and conquered millions of hearts with her magnificent paintings and other social deeds.
